Some students from our school have prepared two songs in different languages - in Italian and in Czech. The 4^th graders sang the Italian song “Lasciatemi cantare”, while their older friends learnt and performed  “Malovany dzbanku” in Czech. All of them had a great time learning the words and singing those popular songs. Moreover, they decided to sing one more song in Polish – “Wlazł kotek na płotek”, so that their foreign friends could learn something in our native language.

The World Day of Muslim Culture / Poland

To celebrate the World Day of Muslim Culture we decided to go for
a trip to the oldest Polish mosques.

First of them was in Bohoniki where our student could meet the local imam.

After that we went to Kruszyniany where another imam told us about history of Islam in Poland. Our students asked a lot of questions about the Muslim religion.

We were the opportunity to visit the Muslim cemetery called Mizar, too.

During our trip we could see a real Tatar’s yurt.

Then we ate a delicious meal in Tatar’s restaurant.It was a great chance to meet and understand the Muslim religion and culture!

Aims of the lesson:

Lithunia Evening /Poland

On 18th April 2012 there was a Lithuanian evening in our school prepared by teachers, students and parents. At the beginning children presented their own multimedia display devoted to Lithuania. It was a great opportunity for all the gathered people to expand their knowledge concerning Lithuanian culture, cuisine or even sports stars. After the presentation students were divided into teams and participated in the quiz about Lithuania. The winners received modest gifts. Finally, we could all taste Lithuanian specialties, such as dumplings, bread, cheese, cakes etc. We all had a wonderful time and we are looking forward to another meeting!
